Bloomfield's Assessor lists the Town Clerk's records, trade name certificates included, among the ways it finds business personal property. Registering a trade name at Town Hall, 800 Bloomfield Avenue, is one of the ways the Assessor learns a business exists.
The certificate itself is filed in the town where the business is principally carried on. Bloomfield charges $20 and takes cash or check only.
